Diabetes Info: Diagnosing things to easily?

Hi,I did the following:

Diagnosing things to easily?sorry for all the people who think this is about a health problem..
A while ago I was given a school assignment where we were given symptoms of an imaginary patient and we had to diagnose them with a disease. I had no kind of medical education at all except for general knowledge and grade school stuff. I was able to diagnose Pneumonia, Hepatitis C, a heart attack, Rheumatoid arthritis, Type 1 diabetes, and asthma all within a period of 10 minutes. Is that weird or is that just general knowledge?

general knowledge. we are all more 'educated' about health these days. we got loads of info on tv, magazines and even the backs of cereal boxes. and then there is the internet.

General knowledge. Those are all pretty common 'general' things that people know about in that everyone's heard of them and knows a good deal about them. They also probably gave you the 'classic' presentation of those disease, where most people can say 'well, obviously they have [insert disease x]'. The trick is when they don't present like that, distinguishing it from a rarer disease that might look the same, figuring out how bad it is, and how to treat it while managing all their other medical issues.

General knowledge, unless you're under the age of 10.
