Diabetes Info: Taking shoes and socks off in the doctors?

These are useful and collceted by hao!

Taking shoes and socks off in the doctors?I have diabetes and every time i go to the doctors, a nurse would come and take my heels and tights off. Then she would examine my feet with a thing that tickles and then tells me to take my earrings, necklace, rings, hair accessories, and dress off then examines more.

so whats your question here exactly? is it normal for them to do that? well if someone was asking me to get naked i'd be asking them what the purpose is especially with the jewellery part. my sis in law has diabetes and i dunno if she has to do this or not but honey just ask next time!

The shoes & tights come off so they can check your circulation.

Idk about the rest.

DUDE do they even have you put a gown on after??? and she takes off your tights and shoes off for you? wtf? sounds like the next part is going to be some lesbian sex scene. yeah ask them why you have to do that! i would of in the first place why didn't you! take that freak to court hah. but that's really weird, what does getting naked have to do with diabetes?!?

You mention you have diabetes. This is why.

Because of your diabetes the circulation in your feet can be compromised and lead to major health issues such as amputation. Even ingrown toe nails are bad when you have diabetes.

Why not just ask your doctor exactly why and if it is because of the diabetes? The more information you have the better!

Good luck. :)

The jewelery might get into thier way when examining you. Like rings... they might be tight and might lessen your circulation. they want to see if anything has happened on your body. Doing these things is how they find the cure for such things as diabetes, and other dieseases and stuff.
