Hyperhidrosis Documentary - www.verysweatybetty.com
Hyperhidrosis is a skin disease. It can be generalised or localised to specific parts of the body. Hands, feet, armpits, and the groin area are among the most active regions of perspiration due to the relatively high concentration of sweat glands; however, any part of the body may be affected. Hyperhidrosis can also be classified depending whether it is a congenital (hereditary) or an acquired trait. Primary hyperhidrosis is found to start during adolescence or even before and seems to be inherited as a genetic trait. Primary hyperhidrosis must be distinguished from secondary hyperhidrosis, which can start at any point in life. Almost a half-century has passed since these scientists looked into the future and predicted what offsprings would result from the marriage of science and technology. Among their predictions are the following: 1. Manned missions to Mars and Venus with fly-by space shots by 1978. 2. Directed-energy weapons (lasers, particle beam weapons) by 1980. 3. Artificial plastic and electronic organs for human beings by 1982. 4. Drugs which can produce major personality changes by 1983. 5. The creation of lower or primitive forms of life in the laboratory by 1989. 6. Regional weather control by 1990. 7. Synthetic protein foods which can be commercially manufactured by 1990. 8. Commercial global transports by the year 2000. 9. The correction of hereditary defects by gene alteration by 2000. 10. Newspapers printed in the home by the year 2005. 11. Drugs to raise the level of intelligence by 2012. And so forth. Now, which of these predictions have been fulfilled? Flights to Venus and Mars have been accomplished, but it will be a long time before such flights have humans aboard them. Lasers and particle weapons have become a present and fearsome reality. Drugs which affect personality changes are ...
