There's about a million and one diabetic cookbooks out there. Why don't you go to a book store and read a few instead of getting one individual response here? Also remember that as long as it's not all carbs, just cook a healthy meal. The most important thing is that it have a known number of carbs in it so they can easily adjust their insulin for the meal.

i dont know but im reading this book and you need insulin injected to keep you good so i guess eat anything but not too much sugar and have some insulin <33

I would go to a bookstore and see what they have to offer as far as cookbooks.
Stay away from too many starches; potatoes, breads, pastas, cauliflower (any white veggie isn't good) It contains more starch in it.
If the diabetic has at least one tablespoon of Cinnamon it helps with the blood sugar levels as well as keeping high cholesterol down.

Do they have type 1 or 2? I have type 1 and we can eat pretty much whatever, as long as we have the carb count. You can plan any menu, and just look it up on calorieking.com. Make sure you have something without carbs, like cheese, vegetables, diet pop, or crystal light so they can snack. They will probably bring their own, but make sure you have some skittles or juice for hypoglycemia, low blood sugar. Type 1 can eat pretty much anything, but try to keep the carbs kind of low, so that they dont have to use to much insulin.

Who is this diabetic person ?
A six month old baby with type 1 ?
A 60 yr old, type 2, Olympic swimmer ?
A 45 yr old woman , type 1 , who is underweight in a wheelchair ?
As you can see there is no right answer. You need to see a dietitian and she will work on a diet plan for your specific needs.
I have a feeling that this is some sort of quiz question for a student who doesn't want to do his/her own work .
