Type 1 Diabetes care in Prague, Czech Republic?Does anyone know anything about Type 1 Diabetes care in the Czech Republic...specifically in Prague? My company's insurance does not cover my diabetes (horrible blow to me) and I desperately need information on where to go for a doctor and how much insulin pump supplies, insulin, etc. all cost out of pocket. Please help me!

basic care is alright.

as long as you have a job with a company sponsoring a work permit for you, you're entitled to the state health system.

I've only been once to a private phys. it was ok. nothing too fancy. I'm sure all diabetes care would be covered under basic care in prague.

Though a warning about the hospitals! Went once, will never go again. Emergency care is substandard and downright scary.
