Yes!!!!!! It is one of the top five signs of diabetes. New study finds that patients with tingling in feet (and sometimes hands) may in fact be experiencing the first signs of "prediabetes".
According to Dr. A. Gordon Smith of the University of Utah, all pre-diabetic patients he examined had initially complained of numbness, pain, tingling or a burning sensation in the feet and, at times, also in the fingers.
He further commented that, awareness of the symptoms can lead to early diagnosis and treatment for prediabetes.
Excellent question as most people think urinating, thirst, hunger, are the most common but really its the tingling feet that has come to be recognized as one of the first signs if not the first sign.
Good luck.
