I have only known for a couple of years and I wanna know if I'm gonna spend the rest of my life being tired or if I'll eventually feel less tired now that I'm under control.

One feels fatigue due to an imbalance in blood sugar, hence cause diabetes-related fatigue. To alleviate it what we need is to return the blood sugar to its normal, healthy levels with proper treatment. Get regular, moderate exercise, and try to ensure that you get plenty of sleep each night and avoid caffeine like products.
