How to get a MN drivers license with diabetes?I read this online,"If you have a permit or license, and you are diagnosed with insulin-managed diabetes, epilepsy,or a medical condition that could cause loss of consciousness, you must submit a statement from a physician within 30 days of the diagnosis". i've had type 1 for over 5 years now. do i still need a Dr. note to get a MN license?

yup. when you fill out your license application and answer the questions about insulin, you will get a form in the mail for your doc to fill out and sign. s/he can specify a time period, anywhere from 6 mos to 4 years for another review. my doc even faxes it to the state for me.
